Terms of Use
Last updated: 10.10.2026
These terms apply to your use of the Cumacı app and the cumaci.app website. By using the app you accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Cumacı counts the Fridays you pray at a mosque: streak, mosque passport, badges, sermon summary, groups and charity points. Your presence at the mosque is verified with your location on your device. The core features are free and will stay free. Cumacı is not a religious authority; for religious rulings, consult the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) or your local imam.
2. Account
- You sign up with Sign in with Apple; your account is personal and cannot be transferred.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your Friday records. Faking your location or otherwise cheating is not allowed and may lead to suspension.
- Be respectful to others in groups and families. Reported content and accounts are reviewed and may be removed from a group or suspended.
- You can delete your account at any time under Settings → Delete my account.
3. Cumacı Premium (auto-renewable subscription)
- Name and content: "Cumacı Premium". 3 groups (1 for free), Family and child mode (up to 4 child profiles, family group for teenagers aged 13+), mosque tile patterns, star ornaments, widget themes, an extended year in review, and 1 tree per year with yearly membership (section 4).
- Durations: monthly and yearly. The price is shown in the app and on the App Store in your local currency before you buy.
- Free trial: new subscribers may be offered a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the paid period begins. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- Payment: payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Your card and payment details never reach us.
- Automatic renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same duration and price unless it is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Managing and cancelling: you can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal in your App Store account settings after purchase (on iPhone: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; Premium stays on until then.
- Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com).
- Family Sharing: Premium can be shared with up to five family members through Apple Family Sharing. Shared members do not receive the yearly tree; it belongs to the purchasing account. For the in-app "Family" feature the family owner's Premium is enough; a teenager who joins does not need their own Premium.
- When Premium ends your data is not deleted; new actions that require Premium (e.g. adding a child profile) are disabled.
4. Tree reward
- What you buy is the subscription service, not a tree. A tree is a gift we give to people who complete Forty Fridays and to yearly Premium members (1 per paid year). It is not given in exchange for money, cannot be sold, transferred or converted into money.
- We plant the trees with a partner organisation (e.g. TEMA Foundation or the General Directorate of Forestry's memorial forests). Planting depends on the season and the partner's schedule, so dates may change; once planted, the certificate is added to the app.
5. Charity points and donations
No donations are collected in the app and nothing is sold as a donation. Charity points cannot be bought or converted into money, and we never charge you. Donations to mosques are paid by us from our own funds and published on the transparency page.
6. Liability
We work to provide the service with care and without interruption, but prayer times, mosque data and location verification may contain errors. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect damages arising from service interruptions or incorrect information. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
7. Apple Standard License Agreement
Your use of the app is also governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA). Where these terms conflict with it regarding the licence of the app, Apple's EULA prevails.
8. Changes and contact
If we update these terms we publish the new version on this page with its date and announce significant changes in the app.
